Australia Post deliveries during bushfire emergency
12th Nov 2019
With bushfires burning across the country, New South Wales and Queensland in particular are suffering unprecedented conditions in what could be the most dangerous and destructive season of bushfires in Australia’s history.
Australia Post deliveries have been affected. Where they are unable to reach fire-affected areas, Australia Post is holding back the mail until it is safe to recommence deliveries. It has also provided a list of postcodes which we can use to wash clients’ data files, if you prefer, so that only unaffected addresses are included in your campaign.
If you are planning a campaign during this emergency period, please call your Customer Service Team contact to plan your options.
More information about Australia Post deliveries during the crisis can be found here.
Supporting affected communities
Australia Post outlets across Australia will be accepting donations for the Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund to support bushfire affected communities.
All donations made will help Red Cross provide assistance to affected communities through their emergency volunteers, providing psychological first aid, working at evacuation centres and helping people to get in touch with their loved ones.
Anyone wishing to donate to Red Cross emergency service teams can do so by visiting an Australia Post outlet, online at www.redcross.org.au or by calling 1800-RED-CROSS (733 276) (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm).
